1. Re: Free camping. There is no camping in Milford only a dump station. Low cost or free camping avaliable at Hollyford Gunns Camp. There are also several DOC (department of conservation) camps. These have toilets and power avaliable and are on the route from Te Anau to Milford.

They have the monopoly and therefore charge because of it, $48, and our camper was parked in the car park, as it's a really busy place, we didn't get a good nights.
